Kumura Oy is a consulting company specializing in change and project management, with around thirty employees across Finland. In addition to its own employees, Kumura has a network of over 300 freelancers working as project management entrepreneurs in the Kumura TRIBE.
The Kumura team from Central Finland found suitable spaces at Crazy Town in Jyväskylä and settled in September 2024. Getting to know other community members and companies began in the sunny corner room of Ylätori with office housewarming events and a candy buffet. While comparing the classic positions of Omar and Marianne candies, introductions to other members went smoothly and provided a good start for utilizing the opportunities within the community.
Kumura utilizes Crazy Town as a testing platform and meeting place
Through company mergers, Kumura has grown significantly over the years. Most recently, Kumura joined forces with the Finnish Project Institute known as Adapron at the turn of 2023, which added a range of services including consulting project managers and training in project operations and project skills.
For this reason, in spring 2025, Kumura implemented service design that clarified the service structure and the benefits customers receive from Kumura. Kumura’s business director Mika Punta had the opportunity to test the new service presentation at Crazy Town’s open morning coffees titled S쳮d in Strategic Change. “The chance to test a new service package and its articulation is one of the most valuable things that Crazy Town has offered Kumura,” Punta says.
Another significant benefit that Crazy Town has provided to Kumura is the presence of locations in multiple cities. Both the management team and the sales and marketing team have members not only in Jyväskylä but also in Espoo, making the conveniently located Tampere an excellent meeting place for face-to-face meetings. Tampere’s Crazy Town has also seen Kumura’s project managers spending a development day there.

In the coming months, Kumura aims to embed a new service slogan into daily life and establish itself as an expert organization in project and change management. A solid foundation for this is provided by the mission of the renewed strategy in spring 2024: We connect experts to create responsible and innovative change. The fulfillment of goals has started off well, among other things through the recruitment of new Kumura members, which has brought more diverse and robust experience to the impressive professionals at Kumura.
