Where does business growth actually come from? New customers, hiring, better sales, or from the entrepreneur finding a clearer direction and taking the next concrete step?
All of these.
Crazy Town is involved in implementing Business Espoo’s new Growth Step program, which aims to help entrepreneurs in Espoo and Kauniainen identify their company’s growth opportunities and put them into practice.
The Growth Step consists of two phases. In the fall of 2026, three open and free events will be held for everyone. In early 2027, an in-depth growth program will start for 40 selected companies. Crazy Town is involved in supporting the fall events and the launch of the program.
Three Perspectives on Growth
Growth does not mean the same thing for all businesses. For one, the next step might be hiring the first employee, for another, finding a new customer segment, and for a third, renewing the business model or pricing.
For this reason, growth will be approached from different perspectives in three open events this autumn:
October 28. Direction: Why and where could my company grow?
November 12. Customer: Is there a right market for the product or service?
December 2. Everyday Life: How can growth be made financially and practically feasible?
On stage, we will hear stories from award-winning entrepreneurs, where they reveal the choices and decisions they have made for growth. Among them are coach Marianne Lehikoinen, author Max Seeck, from Rottapoikien Max Eklund, Deafmetalin Jenni Ahtiainen, from MTB-Cleaning Services Nea Backström, and the background team of J&CO Digital. Educational content will be provided by, among others, Fulmore Jussi Junikka.
The goal is not only to talk about growth on a general level but to help entrepreneurs identify essential questions for their own business, hear the experiences of other entrepreneurs, and find concrete next steps.
From Events to Your Own Growth Path
The autumn events serve as the first phase of a longer growth path. In early 2027, the Growth Step will continue as a more intensive program, from which companies will be selected through a separate application process.
In the second phase, each participating company defines its own growth objectives and concrete growth step, which will be advanced during the program. The work combines support from experts, peer learning with other entrepreneurs, and above all, putting things into practice.
Crazy Town brings its experience from entrepreneurial communities, peer learning, and building business development programs to the collaboration. The idea is also familiar to us from our own communities: business development does not have to be done alone. Often a new perspective, the right contact, or a conversation with another entrepreneur helps to take the next step.
The Growth Step is implemented as part of the City of Espoo’s Business and Entrepreneurship Espoo development program by the Espoo Entrepreneurs and Business Espoo business service network.
The first Growth Step event will be held on October 28, 2026.
