Are you planning a work trip to Jyväskylä? Perhaps you are a member of Crazy Town, coming to an event, have booked a meeting room from CT in Jyväskylä, or are just passing through and stopping by for a day of work in our spaces? Welcome to Central Finland and Jyväskylä! Here are the best tips for a workday in Jyväskylä from Crazy Town’s community managers Sandra and Silja.

How do I get there?
Crazy Town in Jyväskylä is located right in the city center on a pedestrian street at Kauppakatu 39. If you arrive in Jyväskylä by train or bus, the Matkakeskus is just a couple of blocks away, about a 5-minute walk from CT, and you can easily walk to CT along Väinönkatu. There are several entrances to the property: either from the main door at Kauppakatu 39, from the door at Väinönkatu 9, or through Kauppalaispiha.
If you are coming by car, there are three large parking garages in Jyväskylä city center about 300-400 meters walking distance from CT: P-Toriparkki, P-Kolmikulma, and Sokos parking. There are also paid parking spaces along the streets and some disc parking a bit further away from the center, for example, on Yrjönkatu.

Breakfast Options?
At Crazy Town, you can always get coffee! If the pot is empty, you can find the brewing instructions conveniently next to the coffee machine. If you’re craving breakfast, we especially recommend the breakfast options at Café Miriams or the breakfast at Hotel Verso. Both are located right next to Crazy Town, just a few dozen meters away through Kauppalaispiha. Did you know that you can also order treats from Miriams to Crazy Town for client meetings, etc.? Instructions can be found on the fridge door.
Best Spots in Crazy Town Jyväskylä
What adds nice variety to the workday is that you can choose your workspace based on your mood and tasks. Silja’s favorite spots are the Hug chairs by the window in the Upper Hall, where you can also watch the hustle and bustle of Väinönkatu. For a quiet place to focus, the community managers prefer the light pink booths on the lower floor, but you can also chat with members there.
From the meeting rooms, the top 3 in Silja are Matka, Keidas, and AistiSiimes! At Jyväskylä CT, we have a wonderful experience space created by our members Satu and Piia-Maria, AistiSiimes. In Siimes, you can visit alone to relax or book it for discussions – we believe it works best without smart devices! Sandra thinks the best part is the versatility of the spaces; there are plenty of meeting rooms available, and you can always choose one that fits the vibe. Besides Siimes, our absolute favorite space is the deliciously pink Learning Cafe. It’s worth mentioning Jyväskylä CT’s specialty – ping pong, which breaks up the workdays for both the CT Crew and members.
Through DeskMe, members can see all of CT’s floor plans and also find detailed information and locations of the meeting rooms.

Is it time for lunch?
At Jyväskylä CT, we often eat our packed lunches together in the kitchens. However, sometimes it’s nice to go out for lunch as well. Sandra and Silja’s TOP 5 lunch spots are these, all located within a few blocks of CT:
- Bistro11, Kauppakatu 11
- Kirkkopuiston Bistro, Kauppakatu 36
- MakuWok, Kauppakatu 31a
- Konttiravintola Morton, Satamakatu 2
- Cielo, Kauppakatu 19
Home or afterwork?
If you want to stay in the city after work, reset your brain with a little walk on the charming Harju, a forest in the middle of the city. The Neron stairs leading to Harju are one of Jyväskylä’s most popular attractions. From Herttala Second Hand, located by Harju, you can find amazing treasures from a diverse selection.
Especially in summer, the Lutakko and Harbor area is a piece of the most beautiful Jyväskylä. Stop by the restaurant boats, enjoy ice cream, or relax in the stunning Sataman Viilu while sipping your favorite drink in an outdoor hot tub.
If afterworks near CT tempt you, CT has been favoring the local DeLorean cocktail bar for years, where you can get creative handcrafted drinks and mocktails. At Jyväskylä CT, there has also been a long-standing tradition of “the last Friday of the month” afterworks at DeLorean. Nowadays, DeLorean also has a large terrace at Kauppalaispiha, which is at most a 50-meter walk from CT!
So grab a tip or two and head to Jyväskylä! Welcome!
Best regards, Sandra and Silja
