Does your autumn calendar include a work trip to Lahti? Are you perhaps a member of Crazy Town and attending a local event, or have you booked a meeting room from Lahti CT for a client meeting? With tips from Lahti CT’s community manager Sini, you’ll get the most out of the city, the local community, workspaces, and the city itself.

In a Central Location, at the Heart of the City
Lahti’s Crazy Town is located right in the heart of the city, at the intersection of Aleksanterinkatu and Vesijärvenkatu, between the shopping center Trio and Sokos. If you arrive by train or bus, the route from the Matkakeskus goes through the City Hall Park directly to the front door in about 10 minutes. Local transport runs directly in front of the entrance, and within a two-block radius, there are five parking garages, the largest being Toriparkki. The doors of CT at Aleksanterinkatu 16 open with the Salto mobile key 24/7.

First, Breakfast?
All CT memberships include free coffee to gently wake you up for the workday. You can find the popular Unison Coffee’s specialty coffee machine in the entrance hall kitchen right away. The back kitchen also has a Moccamaster for traditionalists.
If the machine needs more than just coffee to get started, there are several breakfast spots nearby. The neighbor’s Seurahuone boasts “Finland’s Best Breakfast,” offering a great opportunity for indulgence for food lovers, while Kahvila Oskari on Hämeenkatu guarantees a charming atmosphere along with guaranteed satisfaction with breakfast porridge or freshly baked buns.

Optimized Spaces Ensure an Inspiring Work Environment
If you have already familiarized yourself with the floor plans of Lahti on DeskMe, you know that we have a nice selection of different meeting rooms to choose your favorite from. The community’s absolute favorite has become Kukkila, which offers a relaxed decor with sofas, and Paavola, which feels spacious even with a larger group. The Monttu at the end of the hallway facing Aleksanterinkatu can accommodate up to 20 people, while the quiet room next to the back kitchen provides peace for tasks requiring concentration and a separate screen for those who need it.
The sofa area in the central square is relaxed enough for client meetings as well as coffee breaks, and usually, you can find someone to chat with on the green sofa if you need company. The community’s traditional Friday Morning Coffee and other community gatherings are held here.

Lunch Options
On Mondays at Lahti CT, we enjoy a community lunch casually with our own snacks or takeout – you can find the group in the back kitchen after noon. Going out for lunch is also an option, as the nearest restaurants are just a few steps away from the office’s lower entrance. To the right, you’ll find Coppa, Trattoria, and Olavi, while on the left across the street, the shopping center Trio offers quick and easy options for various tastes. Sini’s personal favorites are the Thai restaurant in the Market Hall, Gastropub Mylly on Vuorikatu, and the imaginatively named Kaarlo Social at the old bus station.
After the afternoon power work hours
Once the work is done and you’ve enjoyed enough time in CT’s facilities, you can leave your backpack or computer in a locked cabinet and go enjoy the wonders of the mast city. Lahti is known for both its sports and lush nature, as well as its street culture. Close to the city center, sports enthusiasts can find the Radiomäki running trails, which offer views far beyond the city limits, and it has been proven that people have also headed straight from the office to the Salpausselkä ski trails, which are accessible in under 5 minutes by car. Alternatively, from Malski, you can visit the contemporary art museum Malva and the small brewery & bar Ant Brew, and from the old office building, there’s the imaginatively named Virasto bar in Lahti style.
With these tips, you will surely have a successful workday here at Lahti CT.
Welcome!
– Sini
