In 2002, a group of newly graduated young entrepreneurs in Jyväskylä had the idea to share office space, expertise and support each other in growing their businesses - in other words, to achieve something they couldn't do alone. This is how Crazy Town was born, one of the oldest coworking communities still in operation in Europe and the world. Along the way, we have brought together thousands of people, businesses and ideas. Today, Crazy Town has offices in six cities. We host a diverse range of professionals: from sole traders to startups, scaleups, teams from listed companies and universities.

We offer a flexible working environment and support for growth. We have modern facilities for working, collaboration and events, as well as training programmes to help individuals and businesses grow - but above all, a community where no one is alone with their ideas.

Everyday insights, new partnerships and big growth opportunities are born when people collide naturally. Most importantly, it is the connections provided by the community. As an entrepreneur-driven company, our mission is simple but ambitious: to help people and organisations succeed together. We build communities with low thresholds to ask, share and develop. Through Crazy Town, you'll learn new things faster, find support and collaborate with like-minded people - whether you're a fledgling entrepreneur, a seasoned maker or everything in between.

Crazy Town's vision is to grow into the most attractive community for growth-oriented creators in Finland and Europe. A place where people come to look for more than just office space - they come to meet people, learn something new and take their own thing to the next level.

For more than 20 years, we have believed in a future where work is not defined by location or title, but by the support and learning we receive from our peers - how well we connect with each other. We want to be that connection - a safe, inspiring and ambitious environment that helps people and businesses exceed their own expectations.

Actions, not just words. For us, responsibility is threefold:

Climate

Shared workspaces are in themselves an environmental act. When people share spaces, we increase efficiency, avoid unnecessary construction and reduce energy consumption. Shared space produces 68% less CO₂ emissions than a traditional office. In addition, Crazy Town has given new life to numerous vacant properties that would otherwise have remained unused or under threat of demolition. The reuse of buildings reduces the carbon footprint of construction by up to 40%.

Economy

Crazy Town is fully Finnish owned. All our units are located in properties owned by Finnish owners. We buy services for hundreds of thousands of euros a year from Finnish companies. Our projects create dozens of businesses and hundreds of jobs every year.

Welfare

Our community makes a team player out of a sole trader and provides a space where new ideas and partnerships are born naturally. The sense of community in our workspaces supports mental wellbeing and helps you to cope with change. We also allow colleagues to come from outside the company. We also look after our own team. It is important to us that work is meaningful and that employees can develop according to their strengths.

Unlike other organisations that offer either workspaces or just one-off accelerator programmes, Crazy Town builds a lasting community that supports businesses through the stages from idea to growth and internationalisation. Our team consists of nearly 20 community building, growth and innovation professionals. In addition to our own community, we work on projects all over Finland and the world.
