Crazy Town, in collaboration with the City of Vantaa, runs Startup Deal Vantaa program that connects innovative startups and experts from across Finland and the world to address the specific needs SMEs and established companies in Vantaa.
One selected solution per challenge will receive a small pilot grant (1500 €) and the opportunity to build a deeper client relationship.
For June 2026 cohort, we have challenges from
- Bluet Oy: Streamlining the sales journey for sustainable floating construction with AI
- HK Foods: From waste fat to raw material – a major circular economy challenge in the food industry
Date: June 4th, 10:00 – 14:00
Location: Leija Yrityspalvelukeskus (Business Service Centre Leija), Elannontie 3, Vantaa
How to participate?
- Review the challenges below and apply by May 31, 2026
- Selection: We will select 3–5 solvers per challenge based on suitability and order of registration. Applications may close early if the spots are filled.
- Participate in solution workshop in Vantaa on June 4, 10.00-14.00. You will meet SME representatives, refine your proposal based on direct discussions, and present your final pitch at the end of the day.
- Pilot funding: The program awards 1 500 € in pilot funding to one selected solution per challenge to further the concept. This sum can be used, for example, to create a detailed proposal, a prototype, or sales materials. Following the pilot phase, further cooperation is at the discretion of the solution provider and the challenge-owner.

Bluet Oy – Streamlining the sales journey for sustainable floating construction with AI
Bluet looks for solutions that make purchasing easy and lead management more efficient. Lower the customer’s threshold to start a project by providing expert insights from the very first interaction. The aim is to pilot the solution in an agile way during 2026.
Background:
Bluet Oy is a global pioneer in floating special construction, transforming water areas into buildable and vibrant environments. The company provides end-to-end solutions ranging from floating swimming facilities and saunas to entire residential areas and urban development projects.
Bluet is known for its ability to combine the specialized expertise required for demanding water environments with architecture and business viability. The company is currently developing global standards for the industry to ensure that floating construction in the future is as safe, sustainable, and predictable as land-based construction.
Challenge:
Conditions in floating construction (e.g. depth, wave conditions, ice conditions) vary from location to location, creating a need for customization. Currently, customers are asked to fill in a ~3-page questionnaire, which can be burdensome. This slows down the process of providing price estimates and delays sales.
Task:
Develop an (AI-based) tool/agent that gathers preliminary data about the location and other relevant public data, and combines it with Bluet’s internal standards.
Possible functionalities include:
- Predictive analysis: AI retrieves location-based data (e.g. water depth, wind conditions) without requiring the customer to manually provide everything.
- Smart product recommendation: The tool compares the location with Bluet’s “product matrix” and suggests a suitable technical solution.
- Fast price estimation: Reduces manual calculations and provides the customer with a quick budget estimate.

HK Foods: From waste fat to raw material – a major circular economy challenge in the food industry
HK Foods is looking for startups and growth companies that can provide innovative solutions for utilizing, refining, or repurposing this waste stream. The goal could be, for example, to convert waste into high-value raw materials or energy, while supporting HK Foods’ sustainability targets.
Background and challenge:
At HK Foods’ production facilities, significant amounts of fatty sludge are generated as part of the cleaning process. Currently, this sludge is largely treated as waste, resulting in logistical costs and loss of potentially valuable resources.
Task
We are seeking concrete solutions related to themes such as:
- Processing into biofuels: Technologies that efficiently convert fatty sludge into biodiesel, biogas, or other renewable energy sources.
- High-value bioproducts: Solutions where fats and proteins are separated and further processed into industrial chemicals, lubricants, or even fertilizer components.
- On-site pre-treatment: Innovations that reduce water content or break down the sludge structure at the source, lowering transportation costs and improving suitability for further processing.
- Closed-loop circular systems: Entirely new business models where the sludge is reintegrated into an industrial ecosystem.
