What is Crazy Town? In 2002, a group of freshly graduated young entrepreneurs in Jyväskylä had the idea to share office space, expertise, and support each other in business growth – to achieve something they couldn’t do alone. This led to the creation of Crazy Town, one of the oldest coworking communities in Europe and the world, still in operation. Along the way, we have brought together thousands of people, companies, and ideas. Today, Crazy Town’s facilities can be found in five cities. The spaces host a diverse group of experts: from solo entrepreneurs to startups, scale-ups, teams from publicly traded companies, and universities.
Crazy Town offers a flexible work environment and support for growth. We have modern facilities for working, collaborating, and events, as well as training programs to support the growth of individuals and companies – but above all, a community where no one is left alone with their idea.

Climate
Shared workspaces are an environmental action in themselves. When people share spaces, we optimize usage, avoid unnecessary construction, and reduce energy consumption. A shared space produces 68% less CO₂ emissions than a traditional office. Additionally, Crazy Town has given new life to numerous vacant properties that would otherwise have remained unused or been at risk of demolition. The reuse of buildings reduces the carbon footprint of construction by up to 40%.
Economy
Crazy Town is entirely Finnish-owned. All our units are located in properties that are owned by Finnish hands. We purchase services annually for hundreds of thousands of euros from domestic companies. Our projects create dozens of companies and hundreds of jobs each year.
Well-being
Our community transforms solo entrepreneurs into team players and provides a space where new ideas and partnerships naturally emerge. The community aspect of workspaces supports mental well-being and helps people cope amidst changes. Here, colleagues can come from outside our own team. We also take care of our own team. It is important to us that work is meaningful and that employees can develop according to their strengths.

Unlike other entities that offer either workspaces or just individual accelerator programs, Crazy Town builds a permanent community that supports businesses through various stages from idea to growth and internationalization.
