Finnish-Ukrainian EdTech Launchpad program starts in autumn 2024

August 16, 2024

FUEL – Finnish-Ukrainian EdTech Launchpad is a matchmaking initiative designed to connect EdTech companies from Finland and Ukraine. The program aims to build strategic partnerships, enhance market knowledge, and create lasting, positive impact for society.

A unique opportunity for EdTech collaboration between Finland and Ukraine

“FUEL is the only program of its kind. If you are a company based in Finland or Ukraine with a focus on EdTech, this program is a great fit,” says Kari Mikkelä, Project Lead. “We’re looking for solutions that can help those affected by trauma or injury —helping them acquire new skills, reskill, or transition to new careers.”

The FUEL program, running from September to December 2024, offers a hybrid format with both in-person sessions in Ukraine and Finland, as well as online participation. Companies will benefit from matchmaking opportunities, strategic market insights, and the chance to connect with key stakeholders, potential clients, and testbeds. Additionally, FUEL provides guidance on securing funding and access to valuable peer learning sessions.

Building networks, new consortia and driving change

“By the end of FUEL, participants will have built strong connections and identified new avenues for market entry in Finland or Ukraine. Our program offers matchmaking, pre-market and go-to-market support, and guidance on funding opportunities. Finnish companies will see how they can contribute to Ukraine’s recovery, while Ukrainian companies will gain insights into Finland’s world-renowned education system,” adds Yuri Kozik, Program Coach.

Companies are encouraged to apply by September 1

FUEL is a collaborative initiative by Finnish and Finnish-Ukrainian organizations, supported by the Education Finland program.

Applications are open until September 1, 2024. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this transformative program. FUEL is free of charge and will select a maximum of six teams from each country.
