We select startups based on community fit, motivation, ambition, and the availability of our resources and spaces. A registered company (Y-tunnus) is required, so you need to be past idea-stage.
Plain and simple – we want to support fellow founders and new startups that are helping build an entrepreneurial mindset in Finland and revitalize an economy that has been at a standstill. We started Crazy Town in 2003 by building a community for ourselves – young entrepreneurs – and we’re still doing the same today. Naturally, we’d love for you to continue as full Crazy Town members after the six-month period.
We believe that social capital – the people you know, networks, and trust – is the most important currency for any entrepreneur. It gives you access to human capital – skills, experience, and ideas. These, in turn through collaboration, can be converted into traditional capital – funding, customers, and new ventures. Supporting all of this is psychological capital – energy, optimism, and resilience. We aim to offer you a wealth of social and psychological capital, and in return, we expect you to bring back more than just financial value.
A startup is a young (0-10 years) company developing innovative products or services. It aims for scalable, repeatable business models, seeks internationalization and strong growth, and has either funding potential, received venture capital, or attracted interest from investors.It’s okay, if you started with a traditional business model and are in process of transforming your approach.

Selection criteria are indicative – the final decision is always case by case. Current CT members cannot apply for Startup Membership for an already existing business.
