Crazy Town is opening a brand-new hub in Tampere in autumn 2025. Along with fresh spaces and services, the new location also brings exciting new partnerships.
One of the first to join the Crazy Town Tampere community is GPT-Lab, a special AI unit at Tampere University.
University focused on developing and applying advanced AI technologies. Together, Crazy
Town and GPT-Lab aim to make AI accessible, useful, and practical for companies of all sizes.
Making AI expertise part of the business community
Through this collaboration AI becomes something companies can actually use in their everyday work. Whether you’re a startup founder, freelancer, or work at a more established business, the goal is the same: help you understand AI and benefit from it in practical ways.
Examples of what’s to come:
– Matchmaking between companies, researchers and students: Companies can connect with Tampere University researchers and students for internships, project work, theses, or longer-term research collaboration on AI topics.
– Discovering AI opportunities and approaches with companies and stakeholders in Crazy Town-organized events and activities.
– Developing an AI coach for startups and ecosystem players: Crazy Town will explore how to build an AI-powered solution trained on community knowledge, to guide startup founders, connect people, and support matchmaking within the ecosystem.
Since rebooting in 2015, Crazy Town has envisioned creating a digital community manager. Thanks to today’s AI tools — and the expertise of GPT-Lab — that vision is now closer to reality.
AI that’s understandable, practical, and accessible
Crazy Town and GPT-Lab share a common goal: to make AI something everyone can use, not just experts or big companies. Companies joining the Crazy Town community will be at the forefront, with direct access to one of Finland’s top AI universities and a front-row seat to the future of work
